The Call for Abstracts is now open for the Chalk 2018 Conference.
Abstracts for papers or posters can be submitted via the conference website here, which includes instructions for authors and a MS Word template for abstracts.
All submissions will be peer reviewed at each step including the abstract, first draft and final paper submissions. At least one author from each accepted final paper must register for the conference prior to publication.
Proceedings will be published as a formal proceedings, which will form a substantial reference document for engineering in Chalk.
The closing date for abstract submission is 30 April 2017.
Abstracts should be submitted under the following Technical Themes:
- Case histories of construction and engineering
- Foundations and piling
- Future engineering issues
- Geological hazards
- Offshore engineering
- Site investigation/characterization
- Testing – in situ and laboratory
- Water and the environment
Engineering in Chalk is a major two-day international conference organized by the British Geotechnical Association (BGA) with support from the Engineering Group of the Geological Society (EGGS), and will be held on 17th and 18th September 2018 at Imperial College in London.
